Sparkly Dishes

Did you know that the glaze giving your pottery that shiny look is only as thick as a human hair? Yep, that’s right – it’s practically a whisper of shine! So, treat your pieces like royalty and keep that sparkle intact. We always recommend washing by hand, because let’s face it, your dishwasher might just give that delicate glaze a rough day so if you are wanting to give your hands a rest make sure you use liquid detergent and a low setting on your dishwasher..

  1. Hello – I see you mention you use unleaded glazes – do your colours have any cadmium in them? I read cadmium is used in bright reds, yellows and oranges, so thought other more muted colours would be ok – is this so?

have your articles been tested for lead/cadmium levels?

Very interested in finding a english producer of lead free pieces. (I know Emma Bridgewater is lead free, but she does not produce smaller teapots, only the 6 pot ones, which are too big for my purposes.

    Many thanks.

      Hello Gloria

We decided to go Unleaded with our glaze when we started our company, I can’t comment on the glaze Emma Bridgewater uses, but I guess they would now be using Unleaded. Cadmium is encapsulated so contained all I can say is we both buy our colours from the same company. Hope this helps.
